GOING DEEPER TO REDISCOVER CHRISTMAS - MONDAY
10Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.11For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”

Prayer:
Father, How amazing are your ways!
When you plan a great thing, you start with small beginnings that ripple out and touch everything that comes into contact with that ripple and then forms another. May we respond to the call of see the baby lying in a manger as our saviour and the hope of all generations and consequently to fear not because you have it all covered.
Father, there are thousands of infants and babies being born each day in the midst of conflicts as war wages in various parts of our world, just as Jesus was born in under occupation and oppression. I ask that you fill them and those who care for them with courage for each day to find provision and a way of escape for them to a place of safety that they too may come to know you and your peace that passes understanding. Amen
